The role will specialise in Personal Injury with a particular focus on Public Liability and, to a lesser extent, Property Damage. The role is defendant-exclusive and the successful applicant will possess experience in litigation and dispute resolution in all state and federal courts and before the Coroner’s court. You will be exposed to a wide range of industries including sport, hospitality, leisure, retail, cleaning, security, commercial and residential property management and owners, churches, schools, medical, health, aged care, trades and construction. You will be working closely with a Senior Associate or Special Counsel, who will be available to delegate work, mentoring and professional development. In turn, there will be a junior lawyer working in your team to whom you will be responsible for mentoring and occasionally delegating work. Essential Requirements 3-4 years of PAE in a reputable Melbourne-based firm with prowess in Personal Injury or Insurance Law Demonstrated success with building client relationships by delivering outstanding results Excellent communication skills - Confident approach and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Attention to detail - adept analysis of legal matters, research & drafting skills. Adept commercial acumen and disposition - proactive, innovative and outcome-focused approach Intuitive and Enthusiastic Approach.
